Knowledge is invaluable. It is the most powerful weapon which has been delicately crafted, and developed throughout generations. As robust as this weapon is, it’s a double edged sword. It is the most influential value in our world, that affects every living being on this planet. Knowledge is power, however knowledge does not always come with power. It comes from experiencing certain situations, that allow you to finish with a new thought process. It’s an immense gift that us humans have been blessed with, but somehow we are constantly misusing. We spend lifetimes developing critical skills and techniques to take advantage of this gift. Sadly, it only ends up being negatively utilized. People with such immense power inevitably turn corrupt, and fail to make good decisions. Knowledge is so valuable to me because I see it as a lifelong goal. I have big plans for my future, and in order to reach the intended status I strive for, it is going to require an enormous intake of knowledge. I do believe that most of the concepts and ideas I’m learning now is irrelevant and will not benefit me in the future. The future continues to fuel my eagerness, and forces me to push through whatever obstacle I encounter. I want to become the greatest at whatever I am. Only imagining the surge of information flowing throughout the body of scholars and those who live fascinating lives excites me, so in order to be the greatest I must follow in the footsteps of those. Maybe one day I could create a revolutionary.
There was this TV show I religiously watched when I was younger, but lacked the capacity to really understand the lore. Recently, I went back and re-watched the series and enjoyed it because I could finally comprehend the backstory. Two young boys were seeking out information on how to restore their bodies, which were damaged because of a forbidden practice they committed. They searched high and low, constantly researching and traveling in search for the answers. Even after over 20 failures, they never gave up, and pursued the knowledge without hesitation. Finally after reaching breaking point, they found a ground-breaking discovery which allowed them to restore their original forms, however it came at a cost. The knowledge they gained caused them to become candidates for an overall evil plot. Luckily with the information they received from the failed attempts, they were able to remove the evil and finally restore their bodies. It was really inspiring to me because I could relate to the characters. The only wanted to learn, to achieve their goals, which is similar to my case. No matter how many times I fail, I will continue to pursue the information I need. Becoming a knowledgeable person in this world is an accomplishment itself. The things you are able to do with the obtained data can would prove to be even more impactful that remaining the same. The opportunities are really endless, and should be taken advantage of.
